The Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is known for the beautiful gardens and nature walks however there is more to these exceptional surroundings than meets the eye.
The Royal Botanic Garden is at the forefront of plant science and conservation. In their microscopy suite, scientists study the internal and external make up of plants in order to name and classify them as well as establish how the natural world evolved.
Scientists also look at plant DNA to assess how plants are related to one another. Working with anything from small fungi to large trees studying DNA sequencing.
Safe Build Systems has worked with the team at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for many years. Over this period, we have installed new laboratories as well as upgraded, refurbished and repurposed existing spaces.
Ruth Hollands, Lab Manager, at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, said:
“Safe Build Systems has consistently offered an exceptional service. We work with specialist equipment, some of which is extremely heavy. Safe Build Systems’ expertise has ensured that our laboratory benching is fit for purpose and supports this additional weight.
The company’s innovative design ideas have allowed us to maximise space within our laboratories while the flexibility of each layout is extremely beneficial.
The team work quickly with minimum disruption and the friendly fitters always ensure that the space is left clean and tidy upon completion.
I would definitely recommend Safe Build Systems for any project, whether basic or specialist, they will always find the best solution for you.”
